Located 30 miles from San Francisco, Stinson Beach is a popular tourist destination in Marin County. Tucked away at the foot of Mount Tamalpais, its 3.5 miles of white sandy beaches are adjacent to a 51-acre park offering picnic tables and hiking trails. Part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Stinson Beach serves as the ending point for the Dipsea Race. Started in 1905, it is the second oldest foot race in the United States. It also hosts the Mt. Tamalpais Hill Climb that is one of the oldest bike races in the west. As a small coastal town, Stinson Beach offers clean, crisp air and seemingly never-ending coastal views. It is the perfect place to come when longing for a little slice of paradise.
